Samsung 1TB Polaris SM961 Software?

I've just got this drive set up as my boot volume but cant seem to find any software for it, ie magician or driver. Has anyone else got it?

Or Will it be compatible with the 960 when it comes out perchance?

Dount it I have the 951 and t wasnt supported by magacian and it still isnt even though the 950 is.

Thats what you get for buying oem vs retail.

I did try the latest version of Magician as I have an 850 too.

The driver is up for the 960 Pro / Evo but they are only allowing a certain amount of downloads per day.

I am using this drive as my system drive and hav had a few unexpected system restarts, but they're not bsods, just straight restarts. (Win10)

Today I have updated the NVMe controller to samsungs ver 2.4.7.0. Previously it was a generic one. So I'll have to see how it goes.

I discovered my rear 120mm fan wasnt working so that may have part of the problem with the restarts. I hafe replaced it with a fan cannibalised from my old FX55 pc which is a hulk atm.

I also discovered my watercooling was leaking, and took out my graphics card.

I also find out this drives is the same price as 960 evo pcie, I think I might get that instead.. Since it doesn't support drivers and official for a Samsung product

I have been having random system restarts ever since installing this drive.

Its been complicated by my CPU watercooler deciding to bleed to death.

But I'm fairly convinced the restarts are the SM961. I have cloned my os back onto the EVO 850 and will see how it goes, initially leaving the sm961 installed.

In my event viewer there are at least 2 critical event 41 Kernel power events. per day, sometimes about five. As I understand it that is wha you get after a hard reset, ie pulling the plug. that was the day I first put the drive in - and also updated the BIOS.

Today after moving my system back to the evo 850 but leaving the drive in situ the system restarted again about an hour later. I have now removed the drive and deleted the drivers.

SM951 and SM961 are not supported with Magician as it is for Retail Drives only.

I believe shortly you will only be able to purchase the SM/PM961 if you are a system builder or purchase in a built system.

I've rolled back the BIOS and the restarts seem to have stopped. When I regather my strength I'll try reinstalling the SM961.
