I purchased this monitor a couple of weeks ago and have been reasonably happy with it, even if it does have a little backlight leakage and one dead pixel. The perfromance in fast games is very decent, as in it's nice and smooth but objects seem to leave behind a ghost image that catches up with the object once the motion stops. It's more noticeable on a white background and more detectable when browsing.

For example, if i visit this site http://www.getsmileyface.com/ and scroll up and down then the pictures/gifs? leave a white ghost image that lags about 2-3 cms behind. Is this normal with samsung monitors?

i imagine it is because of the response rate, iirce the 223 is 5ms and the 226 (which i use) is 2ms.

to answer your question i have no noticable ghosting with my 226, but tbh i wouldn't have thought there would have been much/any with the 223.

try and rma it and see what happens.

Indeed the 223bw does have a 5ms RT, but if hes talking about the 2232bw then it also 2ms like the 226.

I have a 2232BW and i dont seem to get any of the ghosting which you talk of unless i roll the scroll wheel at ridiculous speeds.

i just need to scroll at just above normal speeds to get it. I've owned 8ms and 16ms lcds b4 and neve really noticed this, even tho this monitor looks and feels smoother. Very strange. Might have a word with Samsung technical support then..
