Samsung 3D monitor v Higher resolution Monitor

Hi Guys,

I've currently got a Samsung 3D 24' Monitor 1920x1080max resolution
I'm looking for a new monitor with either
2560x1440 or 2560x1600 (not bothered about 3D) Resolution

I'm using a radeon 7950 card atm
Processor is a socket 7, 3.60mhz quad core
8GB ram.
Price £100-£200

What would you advise?

cheapest 1400p I know of is £300 so your budget of 100 to 200 is sort of blown

Why do you have a 3D monitor and a Radeon 7950?

I'd also recommend upgrading your CPU if you only have 3.60MHz!

But yeah, as above, you're looking at £350+.

I got the monitor, before I got the card.

The processor is a QUAD CORE @ 3.60MHz

What is the refresh rate on the 1400p monitors

If you're using a Samsung 3D monitor, you can run it at 120Hz in 2D mode, and also use the Samsung Zero Motion Blur HOWTO, too.
