My 55JS8000 lost a battle with a flying phone so now is time to decide between these 2 TV's.
They're the same price at £1749 although shops are now increasing the price of the B6 to £1999 can people stop praising this TV too much Is OLED really that much better, I went 2 Currys shops but all the TV's were randomly calibrated bar the huge Samsung FALD which was very bright & colourful.
I have a Very discount code that may get me 20% off the B6, making it £1600, or is it best to wait? What bugs me about Very is their non return policy once connected... thinking of a dead pixel nightmare. Can an OLED have a dead pixel out the box?
My requirements are:
movies: Netflix, Amazon, Xbox 4k HDR10 blue ray (mostly in the dark)
gaming: Xbox S upscaled to 4k sometimes in HDR or use TV upscaling if better?
tv shows 1080/4k some HDR: Netflix, Amazon = 80% of TV usage
tv: mostly in BBC News
YouTube 4k HDR if possible
The pro's & con's as I see them:
B6
better movies in dark
less bright, similar to JS8000?
will the UK get the firmware fix for gaming lag & motion control
KS8000
much brighter but what about peak ramp up times?
poor at movies in dark
better at HDR gaming due to more vivid higher brightness
as screen is bigger can position in a better location further from sofa
JS8000 had very buggy software eg. having to correct DTS/Dolby for every input, is KS the same?
[Edit]
65KS9000 curved is also £1749
