Hi Thanks for looking

I have spent hours trying to solve this problem

I have a samsung 830 ssd and a gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2G (NVIDIA GEFORCE 6100 + NFORCE 430 /410) I'm trying to install windows 8 onto the SSD on installation I'm asked for a driver this will be the sata raid driver, but I can't find it anywhere any advice on this would be most welcome.

PS I have tried relevant home pages but just get a exe file with setup what I need is the drivers only so I can put on a USB and load during installation.

Thanks

are you or do you want to run raid? i always thought win7/8 installed all needed drivers for you? you cant skip it?

No I don't want to run raid and it can't be skipped, I had a old ASUS mobo and after a good search found some win 8 sata raid drivers, think it's a common problem with SSD and older mobo's the new mobo's support ssd

well i think it might be needed as your board doesnt support ahci? im guessing? raid contains ahci drivers so it will be fine to use you just dont have a raid array thats all
