Samsung 840 EVO SSD's

Hi guys,

Just a quick check, I'm going to be ordering one of the above SSD's soon, and I noticed on the website the 'laptop kit' is 20 quid cheaper compared to the 'basic kit':

Am I right in thinking the actual drives are exactly the same, so I could just order the laptop kit and put the drive into a desktop? Or is there a difference, i.e. the laptop drive is slimmer so different components are used, resulting in less performance?

they are exactly the same drive

just extra data transfer cable for the laptop kit

Normally the laptop kit is more expensive....isnt it?

Hi Nacht,

You are right the laptop kits are normally cheaper but every now and then I do a little price drop to clear through some stock as they don't sell as many as normal drives so they build up stock and I help out by offering them to my customers at a great price.

Snap up a bargain while you can.
