I had a RAID 0 array using the above drive and two Samsung 850 EVOs and it was fine until one day the system just keep freezing and I had to hard reset. RAID died, tried to repair it but nothing.
So I removed the 840 drive, setup RAID again and it's been fine since.
I've just come to setup the 840 as a spare drive for games storage and it seems to have a strange issue.
Samsung software sees the drive fine and it reports no errors yet when I try to copy anything to this drive, after about 5% of a file transfer the speed goes down to 0 and it freezes the system.
I've tried secure erasing the drive etc but still the same issue.
Any ideas?
