if your on a budget then go for the cheaper non pro,i have both drives and can't tell any difference between them,its only in benchmarking software you would see any difference
im speaking for the 256/250gb models,smaller size models might be different as its the size of the drive aswell that affects speeds,the bigger the better

The 256gb Pro is about £50 more than the 250gb non-pro.
Most people can pretty well ignore the slower write speed (well, they can see it in the specifications, but won't really notice it in everyday use). Therefore, you have to decide if the 5 year warranty is worth an extra £50 over the 3 year warranty. I decided that the £50 will probably buy a fair amount of SSD gb's in 3+ years time (in the event that my 840 does fail).
I'm waiting for a 120GB to arrive for a PC build. It appears to have a slower write speed than the 250gb version, but I'm sure it will still perform well.
I`ve been using Samsung SSDs (830s and 840s) for the past 18 months or so. Very pleased with them so far (and not had to test their RMA service yet, touch wood !).
Not usually. I`ve fitted a few into laptops and never needed to use an adapter.
A lot of laptops have a small "cradle" that screws to the existing HDD. I just remove the HDD from the cradle and fit the SSD in it's place, then install it back into the laptop.
