Can you try to plug the HDD on a different port on the motherboard?
If that does not help, try to connect the HDD to a different computer and check if it recognizes.
Worst case scenario, the drive may have failed but the above step would help us find that out.
try a different port on the mobo and try changing the sata cable.
I had a issue with a Samsung 840 where it would suddenly disappear and only re seating the cable fixed it. nothing worked to it was sent back and replaced with a 850.
Hi, thanks for the replies, guys. It's an m.2 drive though, not sata. All good now though - as per my edit. Simply removing it and screwing back in fixed matters. A hassle, and hopefully it won't happen again!
