Anyone any idea why this drive is running 5Gbps?

I managed to get it running at 10Gbps by setting BIOS defaults. I had run autotune previously for a quick OC but obviously some setting there has messed the M.2 speed up.

Is 10Gbps the max this drive does? I thought it was 32Gbps?

Also, the read and write speeds look low?

Hello,

Not sure if this is any use to you but I'm running a 512GB 950 Pro with same firmware on an MSI X99A SLI Plus/5930 and it also shows 10Gbps Current and Max.
Sequential read and write are 2178 and 1528 MB/s.

Specs seem to be a bit different between the 256 and 512GB versions as shown in the table here although the actual tests later in the review did not show this difference.
The review was done in October though so new drivers could have improved things for the 512Gb model.

Ive got the AHCI version of the 256GB. Which now gives me 2249/1245 in crystal disk mark.
But. I had a similar problem when I first installed the drive with it running slow.
It turned out, although it was running at PCI-e 4x but only gen 2. As soon as I enabled gen 3 it ran at full speed.

Will give that a try (not home fora couple of weeks, 'though).

Cheers.
