And comes with various downsides
(Loss of data on both if one fails, unable to upgrade individual drives, possible issues when upgrading drive firmware etc)
You mean raid 0?
Or mirror?
Raid 0 kind of needs specific workloads
To show much real life benefits
Never tried on b550 chipset
But x570 chipset seems to be 2 different methods
Depending on motherboard
Asus One seems to allow me to use the rest of my m2 as separate drives
But gigabyte board didn't see the extra ones that weren't in raid weirdly
As b550 is a lower chipset its probably
Going to be enable nvme raid in the bios
Create an array in the bios
Reboot and install windows
You rarely see the full speed advantages of the 970 Evo Plus anyhow due to it being fast enough the bottleneck is elsewhere in the majority of cases and RAIDing them can increase latency which is one of the benefits of solid state storage over mechanical - though it may not be hugely noticeable in real world use maybe adding half a second to boot times, etc.
