Samsung 990 Pro 1TB Performance drop?

Hi,

I have a Samsung 990 Pro 1TB and have been pretty happy with it since i got it, had it for about 2 years. i dont do much intensive work on it. Recently i noticed things starting to take a little bit longer where as before most things were pretty much instant. i did a benchmark in Samsung Magician. All the result were the same as previously except Random write. previously random write was at 846903 now its had almost halved to 369628 :eek:

Really did not expect the figure to half, Should i be worrired? what should i do?

its in a Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS B550I PRO AX WiFi Mobo btw and is around 45 degrees

Yep. As data is written in blocks when space starts to get full it has to partially erase and rewrite full blocks. And cache can also shrink when space is low. All have an impact on the overall performance.
