This came out 2 days ago, saw one in the flesh yesterday and it is the phone to get right now IMHO. Much Much thinner than the K800i with a decent 3 mega pixel camera too and expandible memory. The screen is bigger than the E900, it's as thin as the Razor if not thinner. The kind of rubberrised feel of the plastic feels nice on the hand, and now the camera is tucked away again when its closed !

Only found a French review so far but the pictures really shows how thin it is.

Really? The D900 is actually good?

I'm been let down by orange as they have no PDA phones avaliable right now, so i am open to other phone ideas.

I want/need a orange contract due to them having the magic number service.

Is this phone good feature wise?

Its a womans phone that samsung is, not really a fan of them tbh. Nice phones but i see too many women using them:p.
K800 is a stonker of a phone, played with my mates one the other night and it actually made me consider flogging my w810i.

very nice it is, just played with one at carphone warehouse, VERY nice, want it, will be getting it, however dont want a £35 a month contract, hence why 02 online needs to sell it
They have got it already.

You can get it online on O2 already, both 12 and 18 months contract for as little as £19 a month.

well went to local o2 shop, turns out they sold so fast they had to remove from there website, back in a couple of weeks apparently

No wonder i couldn't find it again, i swear i saw it last night after i got home from playing with it in the shop.

There's something about it I don't like and I can't pinpoint what yet
Just prefer the k800i :)

Yeah, I'm positive I saw it too on the O2 website either yesterday or a few days ago. Maybe they pulled it (for now).

Possibly a builder in a past life and enjoy playing with bricks :D :p ;)

:D haha

its true though, why is the k800i just that little bit too big? :(

Why do they take steps backwards? Slim is great, chunky is not

he difference between the d900 and the k800i is more than their size mate, the k800i is a far superior phone, the menu's on the samsung aren't very good, k800i has a better camera (by some way) and is 3g, the screen and others features are better.

i like the d900 but to compare it simply on the size of it is wrong. the k800i is the best phone available bar none.

All very well and good, BUT I think samsung have got it right, who really uses 3g at this point in time? Very very few people bar some mobile internet folks. No one uses video calling really, if they do its for a few calls for the novelty, then its back to using the phone as a phone. The cams on them are both 3mp, the sony may have a suprior one, ill have to see the reviews, but its not going to be a massive jump what so ever, played with the d900 in the shop yesterday and its cam to me look the same as the k800 at the same zoom level of the same shot (basically it may have better specs, but to the end user they looked same, like comparing a D50 to a 350D, one may be technically better but for snap shots they look the same, lets face it your not gonna use your phone to take serious photography) And to me the k800 is aweful, the menu is the same as the samsung a icon display you move around, apart from the k800 is hugely let down by that god aweful mini joystick, had a couple SE after a year they all broke. i.e. that darn joystick stopped working. Another thing I noticed while using both phones at the same time is that the software on the d900 was much quicker, the SE had noticable 'load' times, i.e. took a couple seconds get into menu area for txts, games etc......same as the old 610 i used have.......sort it SE !. And finally as already commented on its size, for what it packs.....humm ok, but my old phone is still smaller than it, way to big, d900 perfect size for new phone. A personal opinion/review here but for me SE need to sort all the joystick/load time/useful features/phone size issues out.

Thats great, but SE have little to no excuses for making a phone even chunkier than the previous gen, when everyone else is making them slimmer.

And it is no mystery, slim is the way to go, the Nano proved it with MP3 players, the Razr proved it with phones. It just works better in the pocket.

My only problem with sliders before was their thickness, they seemed quite round and chunky, but now the d900 has sorted that out, its quite appealing.
