Just installed it in my system (replaced an 840 250gb).

Enabled Rapid mode and ran AS SSD Benchmark.

The score on the 840 250gb was around 900.

The new SSD scored 4062. And I must say that my PC does feel like it's had some new technology installed.

I'll disable Rapid mode and run the benchmark again ("drug free" test ;) ).

878.

So, a benchmark suggests that the newer, faster SSD is no better than the old one (with much slower write speeds).

With a little help from Samsung's Rapid mode, the benchmark score goes through the roof.

Early days, more testing and real world use required.

It's going into a customer's PC that I'm building.

Would it be worth "upgrading" my SSD ? No. It's probably the placebo effect that's making me think that this SSD is a bit faster than mine.

Maybe it is a touch faster booting into Windows, but not "faster" enough to make me want to upgrade.
