Guys .

During lockdown I was sent home with a Dell Optiolex and three screens to work from .

Unfortunatley the company went under and I was told I could keep the sytem . It’s been in a box since then but I’ve just had it out and want to format the SSD so I can do a fresh clean of Windows and not have any old work junk on it .

However you guessed it . The I.T department placed a admin password that no one knows so i am effectively locked out of deleting or formatting anything, I.T department o longer exist .

Far short of buying a new SSD. Any ideas how to sort this out ?

Just plug it into a working PC and format it using disk management. First delete all partitions, then create a new one and then format it. Job done. The drive is encrypted, so only the data is encrypted from access, doesn't stop you from wiping it clean and starting fresh though.
