Samsung evo ssd 250g

I have just installed Samsung 850 evo 250gb SSD.when i look at the over provisioning section,using the magician,it does not show any way of enabling it such as a radio button.It does say using a raw partition may damage your data,but no way to alter or create an over provision partition

You can do it manually via disk management.

right click computer > manage > disk management

Right click on the SSD space > shrink volume > enter the amount of space you want to shrink it by.

in the software I think It defaults to 10% of the total space (cannot find it in magician 5.0 but I know it has it in version 4.7)

once you have set the amount click on next.

this will then create a area at the end of the space which is unallocated, leave it as it is and the SSD will use the unallocated space for the over provisioning

Thank you for your reply.You say it not in version 5?That would explain why i cant enable it lol.I will try your susgestion

You can always download version 4.7 which I prefer Over version 5
