Are the 2 or 3 platter F1 disks as fast as the single platter? The ones that use the same platter (or isn't there such a thing?)

At the moment there only three F1s about (although more are planned) - 320GB, 750Gb & 1Tb. The 750 uses 3x250Gb platters and is slower than the other two, both of which are about the same speed.

The 320gb F1s don't appear to be available anywhere - are they in the wild, or still just planned? Really want to get a few of those into an array

The samsung 320gb f1`s have been available but not many were about now i cant seem to find them anywhere.

The seagate 320gb single platter are supposedly in stock today at ocuk,not sure how they`ll measure up compaired to the sammy tho.

I couldn't find them anywhere either, so gave up and went with the WD6400AAKS's instead.
A little more expensive than the 320's, but now I have double the space

I'm planning on getting the 2 X 320 F1s (the quicker multi platter version). So no one knows when they will be available? OCUK?
