I have just taken part of my old rig apart with the intention of selling some of it on and just want to make sure that this wouldn't pose a problem to the next owner.;)

Basically my old Samsung 1TB F2 System Drive was taken out and formatted to NTFS and it now shows up as two volumes when I insert the new drive in my Windows 7 PC:

DRIVE E: System Reserved (86.2mb)
DRIVE F: Local Disk (931gb)

Any idea why this would be showing up with the volumes and if it would cause the new owner any problems??

tia rikky.:D

The System Reserved partion is left over from when you had a Windows installation on the disk.

If you go into Disk Management and delete both partitions you should be able to create a single partition and format the whole drive.

Thanks as you say I went in to Disk Management and simply deleted that volume and then formatted the whole drive again - seems to have worked.:D
