Samsung F3 boot drive

I've got a Samsung F3 500gb HDD purely for a Windows 7 install. Should I create a smaller partition on the drive, or just leave it as it is? I won't be installing anything else on the drive, so If I left it as it is, would the install stick to the outer sector of the drive?
