I will never buy a SAMSUNG drive again.
I used to have a f1 320 HD322HJ on my old socket 939 and intel system, then one day from no where upon system startup, massive clicking from the drive so shutdown the pc, and hoped there was no damage, unfortunately upon the next poweing up it was offically dead, arm dropped on the platter.
Almost a year ago i bought a samsung f3 1tb, Been using it in my am2+ system, just upgraded to a z68xp-ud3, and guess what happened today!!!!!
Just found out that there is a firmware which solves the problem with these drives and others from sh...ing themselves on an amd 850 chipset or intel h67-p67-z68.
Luckily I keep a regular backup using my spare re2 and blu-ray discs.
If your firmware is 1aj100e4, then be wary of this problem.
