Hello i have a samsung 1tb F3 drive that stopped working on me, its in a IcyBox encolosure as i got it for my old desktop before i got the laptop im using now, its always sat by my laptop and worked a treat before now. was working find on the 1st of feb but yesterday when i turned my laptop and hard drive on it wasent detected.
The harddrive spins up normally, everything seems normal except its not detected by the laptop or any other PC. i have no way of connecting it to a desktop directly from the sata port.
I tried using the firewire to usb cable rather then my esata one.
Also tried reverting drivers back a week.
Tried to using another 3.5 drive in the icybox enclousre this worked fine could do everything on this drive perfectly.
I get beebs from my computer saying that a device has been connected but i cant see the drive anywhere, my computer, device manager, disk manager.
I got one message saying windows couldint connect this device (code 43)
is my drive gone or is there something else i can try, data is backed up but its at home and want to see if i can get it off now.
