Hi guys,
As the title suggests, I have a Samsung HD 204UI that I bought from Overclockers as part of a new build (great service, by the way ) back in about November.
For the first few weeks the drive was perfectly silent, however it started making a fast clicking noise on start up which went away after a few minutes. I ran hard drive health checks and such and there (apparently) is nothing wrong with it.
Then a few weeks later, it stopped doing the clicking, and instead gave me two beeps, and then a whirring noise.
After powering up my PC this morning, I'm now getting two beeps, a whir, and then clicking noises for a few minutes before they go away.
The drive works fine, and health checks are telling me there's nothing wrong with it, however I'm a bit worried. Am I looking at having to RMA this sometime soon as a dead drive? I'm about to order another to back up everything on this drive as I've already filled 1TB and don't fancy losing it all.
What would Overclockers returns policy be in this situation? Would the drive actually need to be dead? My brother and a good friend have both bought the same drives and aren't getting these noises.
For reference, the noise is like the bad head noise on this page:

The top one under Samsung. Like that, but quieter. I'm assuming because mine's in a noise insulated case, and theirs was probably on a workbench.
Sorry for the wall
