Hmm, I think most of the problematic drives are 2021 or earlier.

Have you done a full scan with magician yet? Once you do a full scan, check crystaldiskinfo and change the format to decimal 10 from hex so you can read the raw values. If you have ecc errors and bad blocks in the raw values (or showing in event viewer) then you've got one of the faulty ones and need to RMA.
Thanks for the help, currently running a full scan, and will rerun crystal disk info in decimal 10, bought drive on 26/08/22
Thanks

Well received the rma drive back today and just did a smart test on magician and getting the lba errors again, will be running an extended test then run it on a Linux test then see about contacting them again

If you take a perfectly serviceable Samsung SSD with no errors on it, start an "Extended SMART Self-test" (in Samsung Magician) and then stop it before it has completed, it will record a log with an "Aborted by host{1}" and "Failing LBA" message.

Now, whenever a Short/Extended SMART Self-test is carried out in the future, it will always bring up the red "Failing LBA" message in the top right hand corner of Samsung Magician. This is clearly a False Positive and there is nothing actually wrong with the SSD in this particular scenario.

I had already done this by mistake to several of my Samsung SSD's (all 500GB and 1TB 860 EVO's and one 1TB 870 EVO) and verified it today by taking a known good SSD without any faults and deliberately aborting the "Extended SMART Self-test". The "Failing LBA" message was now in the logs and came up on Samsung Magician every time I did a Short/Extended SMART Self-test. Upon further investigation of the logs, it had now added the "Failing LBA, 0" message to all the previous logs when 10 minutes prior, there were no failures recorded against any of the previous logs.

I am not sure if it is possible to ever get rid of the message once you have it but I intend taking one of the drives and trying several methods of erasure to see if the message will go.

Edited to add: I am merely showing that it is possible to get the "Failing LBA" message with a good SSD, however, you may be getting a genuine "Failing LBA" message in which case I would expect the S.M.A.R.T. attributes to show errors as well.
Thanks I had running in Linux when I received it back to wipe all partitions then did a full format and when I put it back in windows with magician the error was gone and smart test reported nothing. Now running in unraid with no errors
