Hey guys

i have bought a unbranded samsung galaxy 2 but my sim is not working in it. the phone is not tied to any network. anyone know to i can fix this

Vodafone have confirmed my sim is not locked out

Maybe your SIM is dodgy, how does it not work? Can you explain a bit more!

Probably an obvious question, but is it a fairly old SIM?

If so you could always ask Vodafone for a replacement one.

Do not any of their local stores have a so called 'expert' who could sort it out, as it is surely in their interests for you to to be able to use your new phone on their network!

does your sim still work in an old handset? or can you try someone elses sim in the S2?

My sim is fine in desire hd. the new phone just says there is no sim inserted

My sim was new last december from vodafone

Hm. Try a different SIM.

If that doesn't work, make sure the SIM contacts are clean (on the phone), other than that, it may be faulty.

Sorted it. i cleaned my sim card with lighter fluid it works now

Ah... the old 'dirty SIM' problem then!
