Who has one? Like it?

Have had touchscreens back when they were shocking (WinMobile) and required a stylus - decided then I wanted qwerty buttons and haven't looked back.

Realise that virtual keyboards are better now but honestly can't be bothered with them!

Had my BB 9700 for a year or so (having had a Nokia E71 before that, and a touchscreen Android in between just to check I didn't want one), and am basically bored. Really like the format though, and love the idea of the screen being touch-sensitive.

Cheers!

The one thing I really dislike about the pro is the screensize (320x240) which makes typical smartphone activities (and some apps) such as browsing a huge pain in the arse. That said, if you don't do much of those but want the formfactor your options are limited to this and choice others. Whats your budget if you don't mind me asking?

This isn't in the same price range but the BB Bold 9900 is the best BB for years and is the same family as your previous model. It will cost you a lot but RIM pulled it out the bag with this one.

It's the price and frustration/boredom with BB OS 5 that's making me look about. Wasn't aware the Galaxy Pro has such low pixel density though, hm.

9900 would probably be very nice, but I'm bored /now/ and my contract won't end for another year, am looking for a toy to play with in the interim..! Budget up to £200.

Maybe I should just wait...

Then I have some good news, the new BB Curve ( http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/23/rim-launches-new-blackberry-curve-video/ ) is now officially out of NDA and might be your thing. Expect a pre-xmas release (guessing late sept for the UK market). It's more for average joe than the CEO (Curve for consumer, Bold for business, Torch for touch is how I always remember it :) ) but will have BBOS 7. The UK one will be the 9360. Might be up your street and will be cheaper.
