Have you tried clearing cache & then going into advanced & clearing dalvik cache? Both in CWM.

did that about 3 times too :( thanks for the help so far...
just to make sure im doing it correctly, how do i install the zip when im in cwm? id like to see if im doing it right.

"install zip from sdcard"
"choose zip from sdcard" or "choose zip from internal sdcard" depending where you saved it
Navigate to the zip file
press power once on the zip
use volume buttons to choose "yes"
"reboot system"

If that doesn't work try going into mounts & storage & formatting system there & then try installing the zip again.

Ok step by step

Reboot into Cwm

wipe data/factory
wipe cache
wipe dalvik (under advanced)
format system (under mounts & storage)
Install zip from SDCARD > navigate to the zip > install once > don't reboot > install again & then install gapps.zip
Reboot phone & all should work :S

thanks so much! all i miss is the vlingo voice navigation, that was pretty cool!
ill sort this gapps out when i get home, i cant put it on at the mo. Thanks a lot!
