Today two different sources on X are claiming something else, however. One says Korean media is reporting that the event will take place on January 23, and the other outright states it will happen on January 22.

Starting a new position at the start of the year and will buy a new phone for it, I wonder if I should hold off. I have had Notes and Ultras since they started then a Fold 5 currently but the narrow screen is grating on me a little, want to go back to an Ultra model but wondering if the S25U will be an S24U with more AI only or will there be all round improvments justifying going for it over the S24U.

Said it in the other thread, but failing to get particularly excited to jump from S23U.

Apart from usual slightly faster SoC and slightly brighter screen there don't appear to be any meaningful hardware changes.

I do see they have filed for satellite connectivity and one thing they could sway me being a hiker, but like with iPhones and Pixels before, it's more than likely only going to be available in US to start with.
 
After having previously getting the S10+, S21u and S23u from launch dates, I've an urge to have a smaller device. Just not finding myself using the cameras as much anymore.

If all the news/rumours are true about the entire range using the snapdragon chips, then I'll probably get the S25. But will see what comes in Jan.
 
I need to upgrade, I got the titanium grey S24u and I really miss not having a black phone.

Hopefully Samsung will do another too good to pass up pre order.
