Considering getting one of these, and been offered one for a good price! Does anyone have one? Are there any common issues or anything? Looked around at reviews, but some personal opinions would be good if possible.
 
I just bought one this afternoon from John lewis. Screen looked better than all the other tabs they had and it seemed quicker, I'll let you know what its like later once I've taken it out of the box and set it up.

Its a nice bit of kit. Very fast and all my android apps seem to work apart from scrabble for some reason. Video looks awesome and pictures are great. I've used iPads uptil now and I'm glad I made the change. The quality feels better than the air or mini which is something I never thought I'd say about a Samsung device.

Ah, good things to hear! Apple always impressed me with the build quality of their devices, and how slick they felt, so that's a big plus for me. I get it on Tuesday, so I'll report back! :)
 
I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and use it quite a bit at night for games, browsing, reading, casting to chromecast and works perfect for me.
1 thing i didn't like was the Samsung launcher seemed abit laggy for me so i installed Nova launcher and feels much snappier and looks much cleaner.
As said above the screen is excellent, very clear (text is much easier to read) and videos are much clearer.

Be cautious if you buy from ebay (like always), my original order was changed until May so bought mine from ebay and turns out to be a Chinese import with no warranty :rolleyes: (confirmed by Samsung uk)
 
Can anyone tell me that has one.
Can it be easily rooted/create Nandroid backups and more importantly, can it then receive OTA updates ?

Obviously 4.4.2 is the latest, but I've read somewhere (I can't remember where) that you loose the ability to do OTA updates after rooting, maybe because of Knox.

Picking up one for the wife on Tuesday. Glad people seem to be happy with there's as I hadn't been able to see one before ordering.

Looks perfect size for using one handed for reading books and using in portrait.
 
Has anyone that bought one recently with the free GP credit, received their "code" yet ?

I think I read something in the T&C, that you need to use Google Wallet (possibly using the app) to use the credit.
But, the app isn't available at the UK GP store. Even if you link to it via the web.

You have to Google Google wallet, join if you haven't already then check balance, I haven't bought the pro 8.4 but this is how I check my Google play credit.
