Undoubtedly great hardware but still crippled by running Android. There's no point in building something that can physically rival the iPad Pro unless the software matches it as well.
I was holding off to see what the S7+ was like but the cost is much more than I was hoping for - £1000 for the Tablet and £220 for the keyboard; at £1220 I can't justify that for an Android machine that is never going to have the software and support of the iPad Pro.
Its also disappointing that the UK isn't getting the larger Storage/RAM option (8 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage) only the 6GB/128GB one which means in those regards any of the S7/S7+ is a downgrade from the S6.
I could order from Germany (Amazon.de) but I'm not confident that an EU warranty is going to stand up to much beyond the end of the year.
Why on earth would they restrict the UK market to the lower-end configs?

But the software is superior if you want to use the device for office type productivity IMO, guess it depends on what you do with it but this gets very close to general laptop capability that an ipad doesn't manage, I have an ipad pro + keyboard and find Dex superior as a general computer replacement, downside I don't think the S7 has enough RAM, if my Note 10 has 12Gb and struggles with more than 6 windows can't see the s7+ doing the business, though sd865 is more powerful and maybe my limitation is exynos.
Personally since I tried the new Magic Keyboard I've found that the iPad Pro is great for most of my office type stuff (Office 365 / Outlook) although I would love to have a proper DEX-like external screen display option for the iPad.
I personally find the apps and capability on the iPad to be better; although a lot of that is due to the Desktop grade Safari thats on it now; I hate using the mobile browser on DEX and none of the alternatives seem to be great; I don't really understand why Google can't just put the desktop version of Chrome on tablets now - a £200 Chromebook can do it!
I'm keep my tab s6 until next year to see if tab s8+ change or add new features etc.. ive review s7 and s7+ but there were some downgraded from s6.. very weird from Samsung . Best save money first cos covid19 impact on economy and hope it recover into 2021. Tab s6 seem great tablet.
