Samsung hard drives any good?

I dont think I'll be short of storage when I do order the ones I'm after, but I thought, I'll buy two more so I can just do a straight backup of them regardless What the heck!! :lol:
Are they worth raiding if I'm looking for just pure speed? I was still tempted by a 2x120Gb drives for the games and then 2x80Gb drives for windows I know its not great price per Gb, but I just thought it was cheaper and probably just as fast as the Raptor 
Would I be nearly right or miles away on that one?

To be honest, the 4 big drives I will be having, two will be used, the other two will be just used as backups so I wont have them connected up hardly at all, unless I need to backup the data because of a few more Gigs of music or video's I've encoded
