anytime i try play a game on this HDD it makes a whining kinda noise..ive only just bought it also.. could connecting to different sata port on my motherboard help? my motherboard is p8p67 pro asus,, atm i have it connected to the intel sata.. should i try the marvell sata ports maybe? thanks for any advice.. :confused:

you might find that the Whinning noise is coming from your Graphic card. This is very common.

nah my gfx card.. is fine i have 2 hdd.s one ssd one normal.. the normal one is whining when ever i load a game on to it...

sounds like capacitor squeal, but they dont come from HDD's(that I know of)
Mostly from PSUs, GPUs & mobos

its 100% my hdd... guess only thing i can do is try change.sata port if not then ill contact support for a replacement i guess. cheers for advice ancyase..
