A week ago I bought few things from Overclockers UK, one of them was HDD from Samsung. After assembly everything worked fine, excluding HDD... drive was making ticking noise, but only with data cable connected. For me that was a sign of death drive, so without long thinking it went back to Overclockers. After few days HDD came back with not-too-nice charge of £16 as a healthy and fully working. I tried it on my computer but it was same as before, ticking sound and no detection. In mean time I had another SATA drive (WD 320GB) for testing - that one worked fine. To make things more complicated, Samsung HDD is working fine on my friend's laptop, connected thru HDD caddy (USB 2.0) and it works on my computer after using "MemOK!" button, but I have to use it every time after shutting down, not very handy Here is my spec:

Asus M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3 AMD 880G
AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB
OCZ Reaper Low-Latency 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 12800C6 (1600MHz)
Tagan 450W
No graphic card, just integrated HD4250

All bios options are on default, nothing is overclocked, CPU cores are as standard (2 cores)

Here is what I get after testing with HD Tune and Active Disk Monitor:

I'm planing to try it thru SATA cable later this week - to avoid another expensive and useless RMA.

Should I send it back for RMA? Or maybe something else should be looked in to before?

Sorry for my english, it's not my first language.
