Not tried it yet but changelog is:
Magician version 4.8 features a number of improvements over version 4.7:
- New model support: Samsung 950 PRO SSD
- New OS support: Windows 10

Finally, wonder if the newer 850 Evo firmware is pushed with this.

I'll backup then run it tonight.

they always do this lol, no rush to upgrade if all there is new is support for W10 and a new SSD

So er, I got an 830 back when they were the best drives, I just assumed Magician was bloatware.

Now I'm getting a 950 what does magician software actually DO?
Should I be using it? I see it talked up a lot.

allows you to change a number of OS settings which you can do through windows, optimize the OS, bench mark your SSD, allows you to set over provisioning and also checks for firmware updates

Link was put on reddit, now Samsung link says: Download Limit Exceeded

It's been on my daily refresh open tabs since I went to Win 10.

edit: ok this was already pointed out. Everyone keep refreshing :)

I tried out rapid mode and stuff just seemed a bit slower tbh and I have 32gb or RAM so its not like it should be struggling for memory. The lack of configuration is a bit of a pain as you can't really see how much its trying to use.

Looks to be 256gb for $80.

Hope they get around to fixing edrive which got broken in Windows 10 milestone 2 sooner rather than later :/
