Samsung pc studio W7

Has anyone managed to get this to work on W7 ? having no luck here via usb :/

Well, not managed when I last tried 4 weeks ago when I got a Samsung Jet. Drivers and software half install i.e. incomplete and with error messages. Now I cannot even unistall them. I emailed Samsung twice. First reply was utterly useless. Second one only advised:

Have you tried running PC Studio as a Vista programme on Windows 7?

and if that doesn't work, to email then back with your pc hardware/software spec. Not tried it yet but frakly disappointing that their software is not keeping up to date.

You need to download Samsung "New PC Studio" - it works in Windows 7..

Yes it does, but the drivers for the phones dont.
So you still cant update them.

Well Having read up about it, I have the workaround driver on my PC as we speak.

As said above , PC studio (new) installs but most of the drivers don't & you cant use your phone with the PC & you cant un-install most of the crap samsung puts on your p.c :/
Work around driver? would be helpful if you posted it...

Im dual booting vista, in vista i installed pc studio then 20080616115846062_Samsung_USB_Driver_Installer & it all works fine.

Its the cable driver that you need so that your PC sees your phone when you want to update it (I have an Omnia HD)

You need to google and install this driver:

SSDN_V1.1.808.7156_setup_whql with admin permissions and xp service pack 2 compatibility.

If you google i8910 flash drivers, you will find it, it apparently works with all samsungs.
