** SAMSUNG QUANTUM DOT 144Hz 1ms VA GAMING MONITORS EXCLUSIVE at OcUK!! **

I'd need to see it, but 34" sounds too big for 1440p. My 27" Dell has the perfect res - if I lean in a little closer I can start to see pixels. At 34" it would be worse.

You do realise that they are the same? 34" 1440p is the same height as a 27" 1440p... it's just wider.

You're talking about widescreen.

The 34" is 21:9 (3440x1440)... a 27" 1440p is 16:9 (2560x1440). Aspect ratio is wider, same vertical height physically as well as pixels, so there is no difference other than the horizontal width.

3440 it may be then, but there is no way in hell the first images in the thread are from a 34" widescreen.

No they're not, it doesn't say they are. The 34" isn't pictured, Gibbo just mentions it. You won't mistake a 34" panel for something else... they look like this...

wouldn't want to see the price on g-sync but a freesync 1440p model will be very nice if they do listen and do it.

No 1440p or G-Sync... I am disappoint :(

Those prices are mental for 1080p as well! :o

G-Sync is coming next year, Gibbo has confirmed. If the non-G-Sync is £900 as he states, then we can easily expect a 4-figure price tag for G-Sync! I'm actually glad Samsung are entering this market though... they've always made solid monitors. Asus and Acer are very hit and miss on the QC side of things, so hopefully Samsung can show them how it's done! Competition helps us all. :)
