There have been many instances where monitors have been improved with various hardware revisions to correct certain issues. Dell are famous for having several revisions for many of their UltraSharp monitors - and some of these had some major issues in the early days. Because the issues don't affect everyone it isn't something that would warrant a total termination of production or a recall. I certainly think it was a mistake for Samsung to include only DisplayPort on the S27A750D given how temperamental it is but it is a bit of a design limitation specific to that model and not shared by the S27A950D. They weren't specific about the panel issues being addressed but it could hopefully have something to do with uniformity improvements on the SA950 in particular. And I hope something as simple as a firmware fix for existing models does come about for the DisplayPort issues that affect some users.
