For images that are stunningly true to life you need the 3 C's: contrast, colour and clarity. Its Mega Contrast Ratio feature brings out all the shades of grey as well the shades of amber, fuchsia and magenta. A Wide Colour Enhancer pro with LED gamut ensures every pixel is robust and vibrant. Plus 100Hz Motion Plus technology removes edge-blur. Leaving your picture smooth and crisp. Unlike other "slim" televisions, the LED 7000 is one of the slimmest television in the world. I've been looking at the 40" 8 series, but I must say all the 6/7/8 series look stunning (not talking about picture quality, but the actual casing itself). They are so thin, and would look superb mounted flat onto a wall.
Picture quality, from limited amount that I've seen of it, also looks amazing.
One common criticism I've read about is the weak sound quality. I suppose this is a given in a package that thin. I've only seen the TV when hooked up to a surround sound system, so can't say for sure.
Seems like a very good price too.

You really need to post a side profile picture!

Look forward to seeing some 8 series on here ;)

I spent, I think £1200 on a hyundai 42" plasma from OcUK about 4 years ago. It's still going strong.

But would love a 46" LED TV, been snooping about for one.

Hmm been looking at the 40" 8 series but it dawned on me it's probably a bit too big for my desk! They are gorgeous.

since the new samsungs are around the corner (march 2010)

the 3D ones come with digital HD freeview tuner
