Hi,

Just after some advice or ideas. The (sata)HDD is reconised in the bios(all shows up ok), its also reconised in Device Manager(though the volumes tab wont populate in the HDD propertys) and it just wont show up in My Computer etc.

So is there any ideas on what i can do?

Cheers :)

im not sure of the history, my mate gave it to me as he couldnt get it to work. - i thought it was worth giving it a go as it dont sound broken.

Just now i cant creat or format as it wont show up in Disk Managment.

Ye very weird!

Mobo: DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express

In SATA1 i have a 200GB Maxtor drive, with C:, H: and S:

I was using the Samsung in SATA2 - should i be using 3 or 4? (dose it make a difference?)

Other drives etc - DVD D: Vertual DVD F: - other vertaul drives as needed.

forgot to mention, when i connect the Samsung drive windows will take about 2-3mins to load (on the scrolling bar windows screen bitty) and much longer to get into Disk Manager.

Iv tried the other ports on the mobo and get the same :(

ye i had a look at that, it seems to be one of these bootable floppy things! like anyone has floppy now (read as: i dont have floppy)

Can this be put onto a bootable cd? - if so u have any pointer how i would do that, dose nero do it easly?

Cheers :)

It is reconised under any S.M.A.R.T utill, though this is the speed fan result.

I can see it dont look very good, but im unsure about this stuff on the HDD's, is it fixable?
