Hi all
Trying to stick a new 1TB samsung HDD in my PC - its already pretty crowded in there. Its connected to a P5B deluxe motherboard and I have a pair of 74GB raptors in raid 0 in there plus a new OCZ SSD vertex drive as the system drive, plus another random seagate drive. Everythings fine without the new samsung drive plugged in but when I plug it in, things go wrong. Booting past the bios bit for the SATA controller instead of showing all the connected drives immediately it hangs for about 3 minutes, then shows all the drives including the new samsung. But then the computer won't boot. I've tried different cables, I've RMAed the drive but the new drive behaves exactly the same. If you remove the samsung it just boots up fine as normal.

What on earth can it be??

Thanks in advance....

haven't tried a bios update, but yeah other drives in the port are fine.

You think there could be something about the new drive and the old controller that means they're not compat?
