samsung spinpoint 1tb

first of all hello to all . i recently bought samsung spinpoint 1tb and it seems to have a very big vibration to it and seems to be fairly noisy as i was lead to beleive it is a quiet operating hard drive .in your opinion would you say its on its way out or is the some sort of tool i could use to check it out .any help will be well apprecitated

Mine pulsates and it does rattle the desk a little, even with silicon washer thingys fitted. How loud are we talking here?
