samsung spinpoint t166

recently got a 500gb samsung hard drive ...

HD501LJ
SpinPoint T Series
SpinPoint T166 Series
T166 Series
Capacity : 500 GB
Interface : Serial ATA II 3.0 Gbps
BufferMemory : 16MB

however it seems to make a low clicking sound when reading .....

is this wrong?

if it's right a may change it ... does the new western digital do this?

mine growls and rubles to itself when seeking,

all hdd's will make some sort of click on seek. the nature of it changes depending on the maker and the modle.

if its working well, and its not a "suspicious clicking" eg, very much louder than the rest of the hdd noise and regular..

Mine doesn't make any noticeable sound. May be a good idea to get a new one.
