Samsung SyncMaster 223bw Image preview is brown??

Anyone have any ideas on this problem? I assume its down to colour profiles yet the colour profile form Samsung is installed! Its driving me nuts!

Any image software i run causes the images to look brown and the image preview surrounding area (that should be white) is also brown.

All other white area are fin as long as i'm not doing anything image orientated. I can post a screenshot if you wish.

Please Help!

you will need a literal screen shot (with a camera) for us to get a good look.

It's a software problem not anything wrong with the monitor. Vista's update system installs a monitor driver for some Samsungs that causes some applications to have a brown/yellow tint when showing images. It happened to my 225BW, took bloomin ages to figure out what was wrong.

Change the monitor driver to 'Generic PnP' and it should work fine again.

Is that the only way? I think i may have sone similar but it still had a very slight tinge of brown to the picture. Ideally, I'd like a samsung driver offical!

Not really because you can see it clearly form the screen shot. It's not an actual monitor problem but something to do with a driver/colour profile problem which i cant seem to resolve.

Just remove the drivers, I've never used a monitor driver in my life

Same happened for me, on the Properties > Colour Management, i chose to use AdobeRGB profile and hey presto, colours seem fine.

I know this is an oldish post, but i had ths exact same problem, the only way i could sort it was to do a fresh install and not install the Samsung software.
