Samsung to iphone

Plenty of content about it online, here's a few:

Also just the general user interaction within some of the Google Apps (but this also extends to other apps such as Reddit, X etc where there is just poor optimization by developers compared to iOS equivalent:

Google Maps runs much more fluid and smoother on iOS, no map rendering stutter or lag.
Same as above with Waze
YouTube seems to kick in higher quality much quicker.

My last Android was the S24 Ultra for comparison.
iOS push pull is better across the board - same with iOS outlook Vs outlook on windows and teams notifications.
That doesn't equate to all of the Google suite apps being better on iOS as a fact....
Your comment re maps and YouTube dont ring true with me . No idea with Waze.

Fair enough! I've probably not spent as much time with iOS as I have android to give a truly unbiased viewpoint.
Different strokes....
Yeah end of the day each has its strong and weak points, just gotta decide which ones you can compromise with.

Android is the better option if you're a tinker, but it's more likely to crash because of this.

iOS just works out of the box. Android or iOS is down to preference.

Be mindful that Google Play Store purchases probably won't carry over for one-off paid apps. Apps with a login and with a yearly or monthly subscription might be ok though as they're tied to an account rather being tied to an OS.

This thread reminds me of going from Symbian OS to Android in 2010. Symbian was originally on my 2 Nokia phones, then I also had it on 2 Sony-Ericsson phones and finally on an LG phone. I really liked Symbian in its later days, so I kinda missed it after an Orange salesman pushed me towards Android and it took me a few weeks to get used to it.

My parents were similar when they switched to Android after owning several Blackberry phones.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I am thinking to get a reconditioned iphone 13 pro to at least try IOS alongside the Samsung for a few weeks.

Android don’t think gmail delivery is a priority hence the delayed gmail notifications when doze kills the process.

iOS pull/push is immense. Gmail notifications works 100% of the time. In sync across all Apple devices.

I could not go back to Android now, I don’t want to be messing about with battery optimisation settings. Who has time for that faff.

Apps are better polished on iOS too.
Yep was about to post the same .

To the OP , plenty of transfer software out there so no real hassle.

However, I'm using an I phone 13 Promax and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra . Weirdly enough I'm getting these working in tandem pretty well , I just have an i cloud webpage icon on my home page .
