samsung toco lite - screen problem

does anyone else own one of these? it's a 5520 model ( i believe ) and i find it decent for my needs. however, a week or so ago, the responsivness of the screen started to become poor, it has now gotten worse and i can't press the send button after writing a text message as when i press the button, it registers as pressing the button next to it, infact, the left hand side of the screen is almost not responsive now, it registers as if i was pressing the centre of the screen. this is very annoying. i have tried recalibrating but it doesn't even register me pressing the target button.

is it broken or is there something i can do?

Think you mean 5230. Digitiser (spelt with a Z in US-English if you google this) is broken, this is replaceable if you're not afraid. Samsung have a 2 year warranty on phones, this would be a much preferred option.

I'd try and resetting the phone first, you never know it could be a software problem.

Do you have the receipt for the handset?

got it from an internet site so should have the email clarification/contract etc in an email

Print it out and take it to your nearest CPW, they can send the phone off for repair as long as you have proof of purchase, its covered for free under warranty so you dont have to pay a thing!

Digitizer doesn't store any user data so while you can do that, don't expect it to fix it.
