I notice a lot of current Samsung TVs are listed as not being Freeview or Freesat but Samsung TV Plus.

Amazingly, the internet does not answer the basic question of whether you can get live terrestrial TV via Samsung TV Plus tvs in the UK.

Any owners here who can explain a bit about how it works? If you want to use BBC 1 for example is it basically only via the iPlayer?

Note these are in addition to the usual freeview channels. Samsung TVs do have Freeview/Freesat (my QN94 has both and from what I can see all newer Samsung TVs do) and then the Samsung channels up in the 4000+ channel number range of the guide.

Thanks, that’s the bit that was unclear to me and I couldn’t find a straight answer for.

Yea, it appears to be a bit of a marketing (albeit unhelpful!) thing. What they don't have, though, is youview so can't scroll back and click play or whatever and it load it straight from one of the apps. The apps themselves are all there though, iplayer/itvx/4/5 and of course apple tv/disney/paramount/netflix/prime etc

Channel list

That's odd, some of these channels seem to be dedicated to individual programs. I presume the "Baywatch" channel just cycles through the entire series? Or maybe throws in some Baywatch documentaries or behind the scenes programs? :D
