Samsung UE40H6400 or is there better

cables did cross my mind, will get another one to try, been trying different equalizer settings, helped a bit.
Can you give me a clue where to change the output device in the menu, thanks

If you go to menu/sound/ and make sure the sound mode is set to standard, I notice if you put it onto amplify you get some crackling noises, it should be standard by default though, if you go to sound, try resetting the sound settings, has this been an issue since you owned the TV?

Only got tv on saturday.
I have it in standard setting , plus i tweaked the equalizer and it has helped, but i will also try a different Hdmi cable.
Thanks

Stumped then, have you thought about a NAS to store your content on?

Me too. Is there perhaps some port in the Virgin Superhub needs to be opened or anything like that?

No, I have too little content to justifty it and only bought the TV to stay in and save money (we only have Netflix to watch). I have been transferring to a USB stick, just a pain to keep doing that when everything is wired up already.

You could setup p2p or create a local network host on your pc by setting up a Samsung media player, shouldn't be too much trouble to setup, I've had it before but then decided to get a NAS as its just so much easier for streaming media.

Looking at picking one of these (UE40H6400) up this coming Monday. I take it from all the praise that it seems to get on here that it's the best bang for buck 40" Smart TV at this price range.

Pretty much. I've got the 48" and I love it. PQ is absolutely superb for the price. Even the 3D is excellent, and the smart functionality is top notch. Why don't you stretch to the 48"? You'll want it after a week anyway.

Had mine just under 2 weeks ago from RS, you wont get better for the money. Picture quality is great, I run mine in movie mode and just calibrated using the sites below and have not touched the settings since. 3D is good too but there is not much good content out there.

Works perfectly with an £18 wireless keyboard/mouse pad I purchased a couple of years ago too.

I'd love too, but I've set a budget of £350-£400. Besides, it's only a small room and I think the 48" will be a tad too big for the room's dimensions.

Still had no joy getting this working via Smart View a wired network. I installed Plex in the end and it is great. I did come across a thread though that says if you go to sign out of the account and sign in to a new one, then cancel it and reconnect to the old one, the problem of Smart View seeing the TV can be resolved.
