Samsung XL2370 vs Dell U2311H

I got my Dell U2311H and I can't say I've noticed any ghosting in games whatsoever, obsessing over all those MS response times is a waste of time and I don't miss that inch over the usual 24" monitors. Colours are damn nice too and in terms of power usage with intensive stuff going on screen seems to hover around 25W.

Cheers for that. So considering I'll be using it purely for gaming, is the picture quality of the ips worth having over the fast response time? I've been using a 720p lcd tv for the past year :p

Well I was just like you last week when choosing a monitor, my main usage is gaming and I'm just your Joe Average when it comes to understanding all those panel technologies. With my untrained eyes there isn't really "picture quality over response time" argument in a first place because I can't say I've noticed any ghosting or input lag at all so I suppose only decision you have to make is whether you want to pay the quite frankly small premium over a TN panel based monitor. Well that and whether you absolutely need HDMI port bearing in mind you can get HDMI to DVI cables.
