Yeah, I know, I'm a million years behind but I've just found a use for it.
I needed something that would show my gig list when I updated it from a text file and after Googling it came up with Samurize.
Of course I'd seen many threads years ago about it but thought it was for monitoring hardware etc.
So I also decided a todo.txt file would be useful and a few bits of monitoring.

Heres my config and if anybody has got something useful I could do then suggest away - Screen grab

I've been trying to get a RSS Reader to work but had no luck yet.
I wanted to use this : http://www.shortnews.com/rss/All.xml so if anybody can lead me in the right direction I'll be grateful.

I'm also a few million years behind. :p

I've known of Samurize for ages, I just can't think of anything to use it for and even if I did I've no idea what I'm doing with Samurize. I looked at it a while ago and just exploded my brain. :(:o

Its here : http://www.samurize.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=18&lid=1926 BUT it says its already a part of Samurize.
So after installing Samurize right click on the Tray Icon, go to select Config File, then to Glass and then click on Glass Calibri.
Then right click on Icon again and go to Edit Config File.

Have fun
Thanks, I will. :)

I'm sorry, I'm old and don't understand.
I'm young, don't understand either but I'm not sorry. :p

Just an update to show what my screen looks like now - My Desktop
I have dual screen and usually watch films on the left side.
Still had no luck with RSS and I've downloaded 3 of them.
I'll stick with Google Reader.

That looks good dmpoole. :) I won't have resource usage information on mine, I can easily find that in other ways. And I have Rainlendar for diary so I might just try some RSS feeds on mine. Would like to have the Stephen Fry blog on my desktop. :D

media player classic is so much nicer than wmp for videos

you can remove all the padding from the player :), and it's just one exe

I'm rapidly liking MPC over VLC!

I watched The Bridge On The River Kwai two weeks ago. It was about 2 hours 35 minutes long but VLC only showed about 1 hour 15 mins. :(

Couldn't find the other track at all. Tried MPC and it just found the whole film and played it fine.

More and more DVDs are tripping VLC up and yet MPC plays them no probs. :)
