I've just got San Andreas - it was one of those games I was dying to play but came out just after i left the country......then completely forgot about.

I can't play it without it driving me insane
I like to use my joypad to drive then mouse and keyboard on foot, but every time i get out of a vehicle - the mouse stops working, then i have to go into the control options to get it back.

I've hunted around for a solution but although others seem to be having the same problem, i cannot find a fix or patch for it :(

Have they changed the aiming system or something? It's gone all console like - auto aim crap! Don't like that at all.

Anyone know of a fix for the mouse problem?

Cheers

Disable your 2nd monitor before you play ( I'm assuming you're using 2 monitors and vista, as that's when I had the problem, if it's in xp or a single screen then I apologize, I don't know).

EDIT: oh xp 64, hmmm could be x64 issue cos I had it in vista x64, if you have 2 screens anyhow try disabling the 2nd one b4 u play...

EDIT2: Oh, sorry I'm blind, ehhh I don't have an idea, I also use my joypad to drive but it stays on mouse controlls when I get out again, sorry for reading like carp, hangover is killing me ...

:) No worries, no i don't have a dual monitor setup.

Well it stays on mouse setup sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't. Makes it really frustrating to play.

Make sure in options under controls you select mouse and keyboard. Your joypad will still work when driving, but you will be able to navigate on foot by mouse and arrow keys.
