For the enthusiast integrating a gpu withthe cpu is not a good thing.

But I think the reason why they are doing it is to apeall more to business and to your very average home user. Basically its raising the bar for graphics.

Us enthisasts that want three 580GTX's watercooled will just have to disable the on die gpu. Maybe they will creat an enthusiats chip with no on die gpu?

I see where this is going now. For the past few months everyones been saying hold off upgrading. sandy Bridge/Bulldozer is just around the corner. Come Jan 5th, everyones gonna be saying no point in buying that cause Ivy Bridge is only a year away...

Intel are deliberately missing the Xmas window with the new tech to offload as much of the old crap as possible.

Crap? Nearly everything Intel has on hand atm is brilliant as it stands...Poo poo on Sandy Bridge, who needs it anyway.
